Export agent

As part of our export agent services, Sojitz Logistics conducts export loading procedures and creates loading documentation, including descriptions of goods, packing lists, vessel booking information, letters of credit, contracts, etc. Customs house approval of Sojitz's Logistics Division as an authorized exporter is a testimony to the trust that is placed in us. In addition, we have an abundance of knowledge and experience regarding the laws and regulations of each country around the world, enabling us to prepare each type of document, provide support for obtaining cargo insurance and ling claims, conduct export declaration procedures, deliver negotiation documents to banks, send loading documentation, and provide a variety of other business services.

Import agent

In our import agent services, Sojitz Logistics acts as an agent to conduct import tasks for the shipper. In addition to conducting import procedures and storing import documents, we conduct administrative work after importing, such as administration of collateral for the comprehensive deferred payment system for custom duties, etc., as well as handling follow-up customs house investigations, negotiations with customs houses, etc. One of our strengths is our legal consulting services regarding outsourcing and customs laws and regulations, etc. In addition, as a logistics company, we provide a full lineup of logistics services, including inland transportation/ocean transportation from overseas locations, import customs clearance after arrival in Japan, and delivery in Japan.
